HENDERSON, Ky. -- Portions of Merritt Drive and 12th Street will be closed starting Monday, July 25, for construction.
Traffic on 12th St. between Merritt Drive and North Main St. will be restricted to one east-bound lane (basically an extension of the exit from Atkinson Park and the river side of Methodist Hospital.)
On Merritt Drive, there will be local access only between Seventh Street and 12th Street.
Henderson Water Utility will be doing construction in the area on the water distribution system to better regulate pressure.
Motorists accessing Methodist Hospital will need to do so from the Elm Street entrances to the campus.
Construction is expected to take one week, weather permitting.
Use caution near the work site and avoid the area altogether if at all possible.
