Do you have ideas for how Henderson County should grow? Where should new development be located? Are there issues relating to transportation, land use or housing? The Henderson City and Planning Commission need your help! Henderson is currently working on a Vision Plan that will identify the “big ideas” for the future. This will be followed by updating the Henderson City/County Comprehensive Plan that will identify goals, policies and action steps to guide development and growth for the next 20 years. The Vision Plan is driven by public input and the city needs your ideas, comments and feedback.
“We want as many residents and business owners to share their ideas about what Henderson needs. This will be our roadmap for the future,” said Mayor Steve Austin. He continues, “We want to make sure Henderson continues to be a great place to live, raise a family and provides a high quality of life. Everyone’s ideas are important in this process.”
Henderson residents and business owners are asked to take part in the planning of the community’s future. Everyone is asked to help identify issues and share ideas during one of three public workshops. People of all ages are encouraged to attend so bring the family and help with the planning process.
Each workshop will be structured as an open house format with a short presentation. Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend for as little as 20 minutes to give their ideas and feedback on the ideas that are being developed as part of this plan.
